This film for fashion label Bally was also a collaboration with GQ Editorial Director Grant Pearce. Bally wanted us to do a shoot with three KOL/social media influencers. I chose a photographer, a stylist, and a model, and made the theme to be of a photoshoot under the guiding hand of director Stockton Johnson. I asked them to do an actual shoot for our shoot - a shoot-within-a-shoot, Inception style.
Adding one more conceptual layer, I then had each of them change roles during the shoot, so that the photographer became the stylist, the stylist became the model, and the model became the photographer - so that each KOL could learn about each other’s role in a photoshoot and thus learn to collaborate more successfully.
