When I moved to London in 2007, I had the honor of working with Suburbia Media (Lee Swillingham and Stuart Spalding) as their in-house Art Director. I worked with them on projects such as Karen Millen, Tod’s, and Girls Aloud. The most exciting project, however, was the art direction of Pop magazine. Later, when the editor of Pop - Katie Grand - moved to Conde Nast, we also did the art direction for her new magazine, titled Love. My role at Pop and Love was to oversee design and typography. Since we changed the design style of the magazine with every issue, it gave me the freedom to constantly try a lot of interesting new visual ideas.
